Lakewood doubles are our home turf
Nobody moves more Lakewood up-and-down doubles than a Cleveland crew that grew up around them, and that is us. The classic Lakewood double — two flats stacked, a shared front porch, a long interior stair, and a skinny driveway running back to a detached garage — is the single most common job we run on the West Side. We know exactly where the couch hangs up on the landing and which side of the stair the fridge has to ride.
Up-and-down doubles and the long stair
An upstairs Lakewood flat means everything goes up or down a straight, narrow interior stair with a tight turn at the top. We pad the walls and the newel post, carry the big pieces on end, and bring a stair dolly for the appliances. Downstairs flats are quicker, but the shared porch and the front-room bay window still need a careful angle. Our crew does this dozens of times a season, so there is no figuring it out on your dime.
Skinny driveways and detached garages
That long, narrow Lakewood driveway is too tight for a full-size moving truck to clear the neighbor’s mirror, so we either back in carefully to the garage or park the truck on the street and run the dolly down the drive. Either way we plan it before move day. Out near the Gold Coast high-rises and the Detroit Avenue apartments, we handle the elevator and loading-dock side of it too.
One fair flat rate
Lakewood is a town where word travels, so we keep it simple: one written flat rate that already covers the upstairs stair, the long carry down the drive, and the appliances. No phone lowball, no surprise on move day. That is how we have earned the doubles on this side of town.
