Or call (888) 711-4778

Look for your written rate back from our Brookpark Road office, usually the same working day. Pulling the number together is on us, and asking puts you on the hook for nothing — take your time with it and book only if it sits right. Whatever you put in these boxes stays with the person figuring your price and goes no further.

Local Moving Across Greater Cleveland and Northeast Ohio

We are a family-run Cleveland moving company, and local work is the heart of what we do. Our own crews load homes every week from Ohio City and Tremont over to Parma, up through Lakewood and Rocky River, and out to Westlake, Strongsville, and Beachwood. We are not a broker passing your job down the line. The trucks parked off Brookpark Road are ours, the people carrying your sofa are our own W-2 movers, and the name on the quote is the name that shows up move day.

Here is the part that matters most: you get one fair flat rate in writing before we ever lift a box. No lowball over the phone and then a doubled bill once the truck is loaded. We walk your place, count what you have, account for the steep Cleveland basement and the tight tree-lawn driveway, and hand you a number that holds.

What a Cleveland Local Move Looks Like

A West Side double in Lakewood is a different animal than a center-hall four-square in Shaker Heights, and a Tremont row house with a narrow drive is different again. Our crew chiefs have run these streets for years. They know which Cleveland Heights colonials have the turn at the top of the stairs, which Ohio City units share a back alley, and how to get a fridge up and out of a basement nobody else wants to touch.

Snow Is Not an Excuse

From November to April the lake-effect snow off Lake Erie buries the West Side, and a lot of outfits suddenly cannot make it. We keep our trucks plowed out and salted, we shovel a path to your door, and we run the route around I-90, I-71, I-77, and I-480 so the truck is moving when it should be.

Crew Size Typical Home Rate
2 movers + truck Apartment or small condo around $140/hr
3 movers + truck Two to three-bedroom house around $185/hr
4 movers + truck Four-bed colonial, full basement around $235/hr

Every job is covered by our Ohio PUCO household-goods authority, with US DOT and MC filings on record and full cargo insurance behind it. Tell us the streets and the stairs, and we will put a flat figure in writing today.

What's included

Put us on the job and this is the full list the crew takes care of

  • An in-person or video walkthrough so the flat rate is built on what you actually own

  • Our own W-2 crew and truck — never day-labor, never subcontracted out

  • Pads, shrink wrap, and floor runners to protect your stuff and the house

  • Disassembly and reassembly of beds, tables, and bulky furniture

  • Dollies, stair rollers, and ramps for the steep Cleveland basement

  • Loading, transport, and placement room-by-room at the new address

  • A salted, shoveled path to the door when lake-effect snow hits

  • Full cargo insurance and Ohio PUCO authority behind every job

Numbers we stand behind

So what is this service likely to set you back?

By-the-Hour Crews

Starting from$140/hr

That hourly figure puts a two-mover crew on the job for a three-hour minimum, brings the truck they roll up in, and includes everything riding in the back — quilted pads, dollies, straps, ramps, and floor runners. None of it ever turns up later as a tacked-on line you did not expect.

Service FAQs

What people usually want to know about this service

Do you really run your own crews, or do you sub it out?
Our own. Every mover on your job is a McClain W-2 employee and every truck is ours. We never hand a Cleveland move to day-labor or another company.
How is the price set?
We walk the home, count what you have, and write you one flat rate before move day. That number holds — no surprise add-ons once the truck is loaded.
Will you still come if it snows?
Yes. We keep the trucks plowed and salted from November through April and shovel a path to your door. Lake-effect snow does not cancel your move.
Which Cleveland suburbs do you cover?
All of Greater Cleveland and Northeast Ohio — Lakewood, Shaker, Parma, Rocky River, Westlake, Strongsville, Beachwood, Mentor, Brecksville, and everywhere in between.
Can you handle a steep basement?
Every day. Our crews know Cleveland basements and bring stair rollers, ramps, and the muscle to get the heavy stuff up and out without dinging the walls.
