Westlake moving — newer homes, real planning
Westlake is a different animal than the old city neighborhoods. The housing skews newer and bigger: two-story colonials and brick four-bedrooms in the subdivisions off Detroit Road and Center Ridge, plus the condos and patio homes near Crocker Park and Clague. The streets are wide, the driveways are real, and the lots have room — which sounds easy until you count the rooms, the three-car garages, and the basements people actually finish out here. We crew it to clear a big house in a day.
Big subdivisions and three-car garages
A Westlake colonial usually means more square footage than the old West Side double — a great room with oversized furniture, a finished basement with a theater or a gym, and a three-car garage loaded with the second fridge, the tools, and the lawn equipment. We bring a crew and a truck sized for the volume so it does not turn into a two-day job. The wide driveways are a gift; we back the full-size truck right up to the garage.
Condos, patio homes, and COI buildings
Near Crocker Park there are elevator condos and patio-home communities with their own rules — a Certificate of Insurance, a freight elevator window, a guard at the gate. Donna lines up the COI and the dock time so the crew is not sitting in the lobby. For the empty-nesters trading the big colonial for a patio home, we handle the downsizing patiently, sorting and donating along the way.
One fair flat rate on the whole house
Big houses are exactly where a phone lowball goes sideways once a mover counts the rooms and the garage. We quote the whole thing up front — basement, garage, oversized furniture, all of it — and Sharon writes one flat rate. What you are told is what you pay, snow or shine.
