An upright is heavy but manageable. A baby grand comes off its legs and goes on a padded skid board, wrapped tight, and rides on its side. We carry stair rollers, a proper piano board, and ramps, and we read the path before we lift — the turn at the bottom of the basement stairs, the width of the Tremont row-house door, the pitch of the porch steps. That planning is the difference between a clean move and a gouged jamb.
Gun Safes and Heavy Items
A loaded gun safe can run five, six, seven hundred pounds or more, and a Cleveland basement is exactly where people keep them. We bring the heavy-duty dollies, stair-climbing gear, and the crew muscle to walk it up and out without cracking the steps or the safe. Same goes for slate pool tables, big tool chests, and anything else that is more weight than the average crew wants to touch.
